Last week saw the first London Redis meetup, which we were proud to host over at Mint Towers.
First London Redis meetup
Organised by our friends at Playnice.ly and our own Utku, around 30 people turned up to hear three great talks.
I think its great that such a new and exciting technology as redis can get so many people together. On the night it felt like we had a great mix of people that were already using redis extensively in production and others keen to learn more about its benefits.
At Mint we have been using Redis in production since February 2010 after we got wind of it late last year. To date it has been great at solving some specific performance problems and we are looking forward to the upcoming 2.0 release.
Slides to the other 2 talks can be found on the Playnice.ly blog and mine can be found here. There are also some great photos here.
Looking forward to the next event!
