We believe agencies need to think more like startups. Mint's approach combines the rigour of lean startup thinking with eight years experience of working with leading brands and broadcasters.
We don't just execute ideas, we invent new ways of solving problems.
A few principles:
Talk is cheap, so we start a project with lots of it. Working closely with all the stakeholders in the project, we investigate different possibilities, explore key questions and sketch potential solutions.
As early as we can we test our product ideas on real users to refine our reasoning and see how people outside our bubble react.
Keeping documentation to a minimum allows us to focus our efforts on the product. Instead of product specs, we deliver wireframes and working prototypes. This gives greater clarity into issues and leads to better collective decision making. We aim to release a basic working version as early as possible, so we can start iterating in response to real world feedback.
We are fanatical about testing (both automated and manual). This gives us the confidence to develop software quickly and make big changes, while ensuring we don't break what is already working.
Our technology supports sites and apps that deliver millions of interactions a day across web and mobile. From our Bacon conference to our open-source contributions to our work anytime, anywhere policy, Mint fosters a culture of software excellence.
We're obsessed with making products that are a delight to use. We strive to design interfaces that are clear and simple. Compelling user experiences are at the heart of what we do, from insight to implementation. It's the cream in our coffee, the chilli in our hot-pot, the CSS in our HTML.
